SEQUENTIAL ART: CHARACTER BASED COMICS

ROLE: EVERYTHING

Created in 2010 for my Sequential Art class. In this class, aside from learning the basics of creating comics, we were asked to create our own character which would be the star of the majority of our assignments. The character was supposed to be, in some way or another, based on ourselves. Therefore, I introduce Evey Stone, a character based on me, along with two of the comics I drew using this character (the first is a one-page/four-panel comic, the second is a two-page/eight-panel comic). It was my first time using a quill tip pen, and I'm quite proud of the results.

A few selections of some of my favorite additions to my sketchbooks, created over the past 1-2 years.

TEAM PROJECT: DOODLE JAMS

ROLE: DOODLING~

In 2009 and 2010, the designers of my New Media Team Project group got together for what we liked to call "doodle jams". During these meetings we'd collaborate with one another to figure out a design direction and style for the doodle-like characters of our project. These are the scanned pages of my contribution to these sessions. (Beware of dicks. Getting together for a meeting like this leads to lots of laughs and some inappropriate drawings)
