INFORMATION DESIGN: SAVE THE HONEY BEE
ROLE: EVERYTHING
Created for fun and my love of the honey bee, this is my most recent web design project. Honey bees are crucial to American agriculture, so I wanted to design something cute and fun to reach out to those who might not realize just how important they are. I gave the honey bee emotions and speech for people to better relate to, and of course kept the colors bee themed. Through this website, the user would be able to find about more about the honey bee crisis, get recent honey bee related news, and find out ways they can help.

TEAM PROJECT: SKETCHBOX WEBSITE
ROLE: TOTAL DESIGN
This website was designed in 2010 for my New Media Team Project class. For this class I had to work in a group with seven other people, both New Media Design and New Media Interactive Development majors. I worked as one of the designers in the group, and one of the many tasks given to me was to create a design for the website and blog of the project. I created a logo and a layout for the website based on the design document the group had collaborated to come up with. These were the final results. They were eventually handed off to a developer in the team who implemented these designs and put them on the web. The website was meant to showcase an interactive installation that consisted of minigames in the style of child-like doodles, as well as relay information about the group of people that put it together. The installation was eventually showcased, after 20 weeks of hard work, at Imagine RIT, the college's creativity festival.

INTERACTIVE ENVIRONMENT: FANTASTIC SCIENCE
ROLE: EVERYTHING
For this project I chose to create the environment of a mad scientist, which I titled "Fantastic Science". As you can see, I loved the title so much, I decided to buy a domain and make it my portfolio. These are the design comps for what it would be like if the user were to explore the panoramic environment. The goal of the user is to find the clickable items in this lab, while meeting the demands of said clickable items, in order to escape before getting caught. The panoramic environment was illustrated in Photoshop CS4, as well as the comps, the different elements were then brought into Flash and implemented. These screens were taken from the Flash version.

DYMANIC INFORMATION DESIGN: DATA VISUALIZATION
ROLE: EVERYTHING
Created as my final project for Dynamic Information Design, the goal was to create an interactive visual database. I tend to nerd out and play videogames from time to time, so my idea came from the Persona game series. In these games you can summon different 'personas' to help you defeat enemies in battle. Each 'persona' belongs to a different class called an 'arcana'. You can also fuse your personas to create new ones. My project is a visual representation of the different fusions you can create in order to get various persona. The circles represent the arcana classes while the small dots represent the various persona. This was created in Photoshop CS3 and later redesigned in Flash to simulate the interactions. These frames are from the Photoshop version.

ADVANCED DESIGN FOR NETWORKING: STATE WEBSITE
ROLE: EVERYTHING
Created for my Advanced Design for Networking course, the goal was to redesign the home page for a state website of our choosing. I noticed that Alaska's site was full of links with very little heirarchy, so I decided to give it a more clean look, with less in your face links and a large image of the beautiful scenery that can be found there. Also, color!! The first image is the final design that I handed in, as it's much more formal, the second was designed more for fun, and I got my inspiration for that one from a snowboarding website. These were all created in Photoshop CS3.
